The following is an excerpt from a piece of fanfiction, with commentary added by a critic in italics:
Her curves seemed to have blossomed over the summer.
Several species of wildflower and some urple pansies had sprouted in her subcutaneous fat and were living as parasites in her body as they pushed their eager way through her skin to the sun. The first crop of flowers had appeared, waving gently through holes cut in her clothing, and she had begun to attract bees.
